Taxis are expensive to hire, and Uber/Lyft does not exist here. To make the most of your time, we highly encourage guests to rent a car when booking a trip.

When visiting The Valley of Rainbows Getaway, it is essential to understand a few key characteristics of the U.S. Virgin Islands (USVI). Though very beautiful, the USVI is a territory of the United States, and NOT a state. The islands experience inconveniences rarely encountered on the mainland.
1) The electricity goes out on the island and at the property occasionally. Power outages may last for a few minutes to several hours. Large areas of the island may experience outages at the same time. This property currently does not have a generator for electricity. Water outages may also occur occasionally.
2) The washer and dryer in the unit are currently not operational. A currently discounted booking price accounts for this.
3) Taxis are very expensive to hire, and Uber/Lyft does not exist here. To make the most of your time, we highly encourage guests to rent a car while on St. Thomas.
4) The U.S. Virgin Islands is in the Caribbean and may experience severe weather events throughout the year. Specifically, the territory may experience strong winds, heavy rain, earthquakes, and hurricanes. Hurricane season runs from June 1st through November 30th. Please be mindful when booking your trip.
5) This home is a condominium within a building of 31 units. The host cannot be responsible for inconveniences out of their control. Inconveniences include (but are not limited to) renovation/maintenance work, power/water interruption, or noise from other condos or the building exterior.
6) Parking - Guests are permitted to park in the lower parking lot by the dumpster.

1) Please keep the noise level down between 10 pm - 8 am. Especially in areas where noise travels easily (i.e in front of the unit, on the patio, or at the pool)
2) The entire Mahogany Run community is dog-free (bylaw requirement). However, you may see little animals on or around the property, including wild chickens, wild cats, iguanas, lizards, and wild birds. Please be kind to all the animal friends who also call this part of the island home.
3) Please bag and dispose of all perishable food items and waste at the end of your stay. The aqua-colored dumpster is located in the lower parking lot.
4) For your safety, please do NOT attempt to raise/close the murphy/folding bed. The bed must remain on the floor, folded down and in place at all times.
5) Smoking is not allowed at any time.
